[2022 Puli Forest Lantern Festival 𝐚𝐭 Philosophers' Trail]
Puli is a small town embraced by forests. This year's Forest Lantern Festival draws inspiration from the five visionary goals for Puli's leap forward, proposed by the Xin Puli Development Committee in 1995: 'City of Mountains,' 'Town of Waters,' 'Capital of Flowers,' 'Settlement of Health,' and 'Town of Arts.' Through the fresh and serene environment of Philosophers' Trail, we create a lantern festival with unique local characteristics. Each year, limited-edition themed lanterns are gifted to participants. This year, we have specially designed the 'Forest Torch' using bamboo and LED string lights as a prop to enter the forest. Puli, the town's mascot, will make surprise appearances along Philosophers' Trail, inviting everyone to experience the unique charm of the lantern festival.

| VISIT ROUTE |
Located at the beginning of Philosophers' Trail, lush green trees line the path, and the leaves of wild bamboo shoots sway in the breeze. Faint lights form a guiding path to the 'City of Mountains' in the night, while colorful lighting casts various hues onto the forest.
As evening falls, vibrant lanterns hang over the water. Each small lantern is uniquely hand-painted by children, creating a dreamy reflection on the water's surface.
Colorful floral decorations, swirling mist, and shimmering lights create a magical atmosphere. The bell-ringing area, adorned with Puli's local flowers, marks the beginning of the New Year, while the mist adds a touch of mystery to the entire forest.
With a dyed forest and lanterns designed by Puli's children arranged in a staggered pattern, visitors can look back from the winding paths of Philosophers' Trail and feel the vibrant energy of healthy Puli!
Puli is a town with a strong artistic atmosphere, and 'Artists' are considered one of Puli's special products. We invited local Puli artists to paint lanterns, which were displayed along the streets, adding the finishing touch to this lantern festival.
Special Introduction: This Year's Limited-Edition Lantern — 'Forest Torch'
To encourage everyone to stay active, the Town Mayor designed the torch in the shape of a hiking pole. Shorter versions were also made for children. Holding this torch at night while following Puli through the lantern festival makes the forest feel like a stream of fireflies, lighting up Philosophers' Trail with twinkling stars.
