The Taiwan Geographic Center Monument marks the exact center of Taiwan. It was also the site of the Nenggao community 94 years ago and serves as a popular spot for morning and evening exercises in Puli. For children growing up in Puli, visiting the Geographic Center is a must-do milestone. From a tourism perspective, the heart of Taiwan lies in Puli, and the locals take great pride in being the 'heart of Taiwan.'

Building on the success of the 2019 Puli Forest Lantern Festival, which united the entire town and illuminated Puli, this year's event has been carefully planned by the town office staff and the execution team. The 2020 festival will span eight days, blending the forest atmosphere of Hutou Mountain to create a unique visual experience.
The main difference from last year is the route. Last year, due to trail renovations, the event started from the second layer of the mountain. This year, with the trails fully restored, we will retrace the original complete mountain path. Therefore, both adults and children participating in this year's Lantern Festival are encouraged to stay fit and prepared, so you won't get out of breath halfway up!
Additionally, this year's visual theme features an adorable squirrel on Hutou Mountain (celebrating the Year of the Rat). Holding up a glowing pinecone, the squirrel invites everyone to climb the mountain and ring the bell for blessings. We hope that all visitors leave the Lantern Festival filled with joy and hope.
