NNU Sakura Festival Event: February 9 to March 4, 2018

The main venue is located in the cherry blossom grove next to the College of Management at National Chi Nan University. Other scenic spots on campus include the cherry blossom area in the College of Humanities, the College of Management, the College of Science and Technology, and the area beside the College of Education. The address is No. 1, Daxue Rd., Puli Township, Nantou County.

Session 1 (Press Conference & Cherry Blossom Viewing Tea Party for Campus and Local Community)
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Friday, February 9, 2018
Location: Main Stage Area in the Campus Cherry Blossom Grove
Event Highlights:
- Cherry Blossom Viewing.
- Tea Ceremony & Tasting: 10 tea stations (inviting tea masters from Puli Community University, Liren Tea Soup Class, Indigenous Tea Association, and Tzu Chi Ching Sin Tea Class for on-site tasting and teaching experiences).
- Live Music Performance (Butterfly Music Band).
- Tea Snacks (Sakura Pastries, Diamond Nuts, Lemon Ginger Juice) and professional mixology and wine tasting hosted by the Alumni Association.
- Invitations extended to local journalists from the central region, officials from the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration and County Government, educators from universities and colleges in the central region, principals of primary and secondary schools in Nantou and Puli, and other distinguished local guests.
Session 2 (Community Exchange & Cherry Blossom Viewing Tea Party)
Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Thursday, February 22, 2018
Location: Main Stage Area in the Campus Cherry Blossom Grove

- Cherry Blossom Viewing.
- Tea Ceremony & Tasting: 10 tea stations (inviting tea masters from Puli Community University, Liren Tea Soup Class, Indigenous Tea Association, and Tzu Chi Ching Sin Tea Class for on-site tasting and teaching experiences).
- Live Music Performance (Butterfly Music Band).
- In conjunction with the university's New Year gathering, invitations extended to faculty, staff, and related community organizations to bring their families and join the cherry blossom viewing and tea party.
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, and 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Friday, February 23, 2018.

Event Highlights:
- Early Spring Cherry Blossom Viewing.
- International Coffee Quality Assessor guides you to discover Shuili Lian Coffee and provides brewing tutorials, along with insights into the coffee planting and post-harvest processing methods.
- 50 seats available per session for the specialty coffee lecture. Fee: 300 NTD per group. Includes a complimentary Sakura souvenir coffee cup.
- Hands-on experience in brewing specialty coffee.
- Specialty coffee experience under the cherry blossom trees, with coffee snacks provided.

Taomi Style Picnic
Time: February 9, 10, 11, 2018 (Friday-Sunday) 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM;
February 22, 23, 24, 2018 (Thursday-Saturday) 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
Location: Campus Cherry Blossom Grove
Event Highlights:
- Flower Viewing Activities.
- Flavorful Picnic Experience (Delicious Food).
- Share the picnic together at NNU (Picnic mats provided for 4-8 people).
- On-site Tea and Coffee Sessions at other times: From February 10 (Saturday) to March 4 (Sunday), 2018, tea classes and the Agricultural Association will hold events on selected days. Live music performances by student clubs [planned and led by Teacher Xie of the Butterfly Band] will also be arranged.
- Admissions Promotion: In coordination with the university's admissions activities.
- Photo Booths and QR Code Scanning: In collaboration with the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration, visitors can take photos to check in, receive souvenirs, or enter a lottery. Upload photos to Facebook to claim souvenirs, aiming to attract more young people to participate.
- Online Registration and Promotional Invitations: Open registration on the university homepage for the public to visit and participate in cherry blossom viewing. Collaborate with travel media and journalists from local areas, Taipei, and Taichung to expand the marketing of the 2018 Sakura Festival, promoting cherry blossom tourism in Nantou, Sun Moon Lake, NNU, and Formosan Aboriginals Culture Village.

- Overall Sakura Festival Event Time: From Friday, February 9, 2018, to Sunday, March 4, 2018.
- A parking fee of 50 NTD is required to enter the campus. Visitors are welcome to bring their own tea sets to enjoy tea under the cherry blossoms.
